Introducing Sankata Hara Chaturthi Pooja, with the Blessings of Pujyasri Mathioli Saraswathy (NEW JERSEY)

Jai Nandalala!

With the blessings of Pujyasri Mathioli Saraswathy (Pujyasri Akka, founder Nandalala Mission), Nandalala Mission, NJ will be performing Ganesha Pooja during every Sankata Hara Chaturthi.

“Sankata” is a Sanskrit word which means “Problem” and “Hara” is also a Sanskrit word which means “Killing or removing.”  So a person who does pooja to Lord Ganesh on Sankatahara Chaturthi will be relieved from all their worries and troubles. Sankatahara Chaturthi comes on each “Krishna Paksha Chaturthi” day of Hindu lunar month which means the fourth day of waning moon period. Fasting on this day  is very auspicious.

Pujyasri Akka has given us a Ganesha vigraham (the picture of the actual idol is pasted above) that any devotee can take with him/her to their respective house and perform the pooja. You have a great opportunity to keep and serve lord Ganesha given by Pujyasri Akka in your house for some time and experience the divinity of the lord. The pooja will be performed by a priest.

The first pooja will be held at Madhuri/Sivaganesh’s house on Thursday November 21st.

Sponsorship for this pooja is $300 and Nandalala Mission would arrange for the priest to come to your house and do the pooja. (A couple of families could join together and do the sponsorship too)

Soon we will publish the Sankata Hara Chaturthi dates for the remainder of 2013 and all of 2014. If you would like to sponsor the pooja and welcome lord Ganesha to grace your house, please email nandalala.nj@gmail.com and let us know in advance.

Please see the attached flyer for more details.
