Youth Concerts
A monthly program to provide a forum
for our talented youth to perform before a live audience

Samantha, 17, has been learning Carnatic vocal music for the past eleven years from her Guru, Smt. Latha Sriram, Artistic Director of Lalitha Gana Vidyalaya. She has participated in several performances around the bay area in various temples and for cultural events. Samantha has participated in all of Sri Lalitha Gana Vidyalaya.s productions. Samantha has also been learning Bharatanatyam for eleven years from Smt. Indumathy Ganesh, Artistic Director of Nrithyollasa Dance Academy, and completed her dance arangetram.

She is currently a senior at Mission San Jose High School. In addition to her challenging courses, Samantha has spent numerous hours volunteering at Washington Hospital, in Mexico for orphanage children, and at YMCA science camps. Samantha also plays the electric guitar and loves to draw and oil paint. She plans to continue learning and performing Carnatic vocal music.

Followed by: Performances of students of music interested in performing before a live audience. One piece per child.

This is being organized by Nandalala Mission to provide a forum for youth to perform before a live audience.

Performances will be given by youth trained in any form of music or dance. Each performance will be for one hour. A participant may perform for one hour or two participants may perform for 30minutes each.

Interested music / dance schools / teachers may contact Nandalala Mission at the number given below. Concerts will generally be once a month, on a Sunday afternoon.

Performers will be awarded a token of appreciation by Nandalala Mission.
